Welcome.
An introduction: My name is Laurel Schwartz. I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota with a camera, a YouTube channel, and a passion for people. Now, I spend my days in New York City working at the intersection of art and social impact.
I have always loved history. This is because I believe stories change the world. And, I believe the moral arc of the universe is long and it bends towards justice—if only we bend it. The stories we tell and how we tell them matter; they can bend the moral arc.
A few highlights from my career so far:
Earning a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for my work building the Crisis Text Line brand
Screening my self-produced film about healthcare at Facebook, Vimeo, and NBC 30 Rock
Launching a campaign that reached thousands of frontline workers with free mental health support at the height of the COVID pandemic.
Storytelling—art, media, music, film—is poetic world-making. Are you ready to make a world together?
L.
